Midgate Glass Lock — Chevy Avalanche

- Remove the original lock piece, spring, retainer clip, and metal back plate.
- Retrieve the retainer clip from inside the original piece. The spring and back plate will not be reused.
- Insert the retainer clip into the new lock piece in the slot.
- Slide the lock onto the metal shaft in the midgate, but do not fully push in yet. Ensure the arrow on the lock is pointing half-way between the Locked and Unlocked logos on the midgate.
- Push the lock fully onto the shaft, ensuring it clips in place securely. Test by firmly pulling on the lock to ensure it stays affixed to the shaft.
